My eyes are flowing currents crashing against sharp rocks

At the very thought of you fading into the distance

You’re a mirage.

An optical phenomenon that my hand reaches to, my voice calls to

But gets no response.

I tried to delete, erase, destroy or any other word to substitute the proof.

Proof of us existing as one but it’s to late.

Every word, every touch, every thing, is permanently etched in my mind

And as my mind wonders and my heart races thinking…overthinking and then thinking again

You’re moving on.

“I’ve never felt this way” sounds cliché right?

You make this look so easy.

My hands pressed on the glass peering out into your world

It looks greener.
